Guided angling

As a professional guide I am trained in first aid and am an experienced educator. Being guided gives the visiting angler the most consistent opportunity to take advantage of the local fishery. An ability to spot, stalk and assist with the best flies and techniques is what I bring with me as well as experience on the best location for the conditions.

Your angling experience, safety and well being are my primary concerns and I pride myself on the number of return clients, with whom I have developed wonderful friendships.

If you have never been guided - please take the opportunity to treat yourself or someone you love to a great day on one of our waterways.

What to expect (NZ or 45 South)

A multitude of stunning waterways are accessible by vehicle as daytrips, half day trips, or included in a multi-day itinerary. There is almost always fishable water in the Southland and Otago region.

Our day starts when we pick up from your accommodation, or meeting at a prearranged location. We travel by air conditioned vehicle to our destination stream or river seeking to optimise the conditions and opportunities. The average day allows for around 7 - 8 hours fishing time and early starts may sometimes be recommended.  Travelling times to our fishing areas vary depending on conditions, though we generally travel between 30 - 60 minutes  each way.

Heli-Fishing/ multiday and backcountry options available.

Upon enquiry - we will seek to customise your experience and send out information on all the rivers and streams we are likely to fish.
